Musician Bernard Edwards, extraordinary Bassist and founding member of the early Bomb, music group Chic and a producer of such artists as Diana Ross, Sister Sledge, producing the smash recording (We are family).
Sugar Hill Gang sampled "Good Times", then there is Rod Stewart, and many others, Mr. Edwards has passed away, his publicist said Friday.
He was 43. Edwards died Thursday morning (Sep. 14, 2005 in Japan, where he had performed at the "Tokyo Super Producers Concert" the night before. Sep 15, 2005
